Happy New Year friends!

It's the very last hours of this year left. It's been mostly a good one, let's hope the next one will be kind to us too.

At our house one is already asleep, two are blowing up some firecrackers outside, one is eating kitty snacks on the dinner table and one is lounging on the sofa. I'll leave it to your imagination to figure out who is doing what.

Anyhow, I would like to wish you all a very happy, lucky, prosperous, healthy and lovely new year! Thank you for visiting my blog, see you again next year!

Well, I'm continuing as before, mom thinks baking a healthy chockolate cake might help. Anyway it's new years soon and time for a long weekend.

The lazy days of Christmas...

...are over for my poor mom who returns to work tomorrow.

However, we the guys of the family are continuing the life of leisure for the rest of this week. Cool.

Some ham maybe

The most traditional Christmas dish, the ham is soon finished. It's the big one who prepares it every Christmas. This year it came out extra delicious, and I have gotten some tasty bits of it. I'll get back to my canned food soon enough, but now some more ham please!

Me and Mr Santa

Oh boy it's been an exciting day! Loads of humans, big and small has been visiting my house. Finally in the evening, Santa Claus came by our house! I was intrigued by his uniform, and friends, I was able to get my paws on his red jacket! Also his walking stick was fun to play with.

Santa is such a generous and cool dude, he didn't mind me clawing his clothes at all. He thought I was a good kitty anyway and gave me a present filled with tasty snacks. What a great day!

I wish you all a very Merry Catmas!!

Innocent kitty

Just a sweet innocent kitty hanging around the Christmas tree... Not planning anything evil... Only happy and kind thoughts here!

The tree is in!

OMC, mom brought the tree in already! Well, apparently it needs to adjust to the indoor conditions for a while, but I don't mind since this is almost just as much fun as the end product.

I think I'm going to spend all day beside this lovely tree, and patrol it so that it wouldn't disappear or something. The tree is on a bucket of water which is handy because I can easily sip some fresh water while watching the tree. Christmas is just SO cool!

Counting the days...

Oh I'm so excited! My mom got me the Christmas tree!

Or should I say Juletræ, as they call It in Denmark where this one came from. Apparently it's worth it to bring Christmas trees from Denmark all the way here for sale. Well, I don't mind where it came from as long as I can climb on it! Any day now...

Spilled spaghetti

I thought mom came up with a cool game for me today.

It looked like so much fun; throw spaghetti on the floor and then collect it. I tried to participate, but I soon noticed that my help wasn't needed. It turned out to be an accident not a game. Shame, it was fun while it lasted!

My main human

My mom, obviously.

She's the one who is licensed to give me bellyrubs when I think the time is right. And she knows that.

Now, back to relaxing!

Relax!

I've been just laying low and relaxing by the fireplace.

I guess next week will be a busy one before the Christmas time, so it's better to enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts. Happy weekend!

Different opinions

She claims she needs to work...

...I claim she needs to play with me. We've got some negotiating to do.

Cat fight, cat fight!

Allthough I'm usually a lover not a fighter, there comes times when I just need to get into a real catfight with the nearest human. This morning was one of those times. I thought to have a round or two with my mom's feet!

Claws and teeth in action!

Wait...

Maybe I should scratch this green thingie for a while...

Nope, not yet finished with this foot here.

Ok, now I'm done!

A bowl of water, please!

My mom is a bit puzzled of my latest doings. My water bowl is in a sink, and I do like to drink from it. But I also like to knock the bowl over so the water runs off. As soon as she fills it up, I run to it and start pushing it around. I like my water fresh and running, that's why I do that.

Hello...

It's the rush hour of the morning, and mom is running around the house trying desperately to get it together by the time she and the kids have to leave the house. I just try to get some attention, and place myself in the middle of her main route.

Sometimes it works and I get some random scritches while she passes by. This morning wasn't like that, she was so busy that I consider myself lucky when she didn't step on my tail or something. Well, better luck tomorrow!

Happy birthday Finland!

Our beloved country turns 98 years today, so we celebrate the Independence day. As usual, we are watching the celebrations at the president's castle on tv, and I was able to get my paws on some human snacks!

Cheese doodles! I hope you've had a great weekend!

Snooze

So happy it's weekend! Now I'm going to  take a good snooze! We've had some serious snow fall today, so it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Have a great weekend!

Fighting enemies

I've noticed that humans find it often very amusing when they catch me practicing my fighting skills with an actual or a pretended enemy. Like the other day when I fought against this innocent looking Evil Punching Bag of the kids.

They should realise that there is nothing funny about a kitty practicing a real fight you know. We kitties will always keep our claws ready...

Jingle bells and all that

So the first candle has been lit, and the countdown to Christmas has begun. Mom has been fussing about Christmas a while already, and I heard the Santa Claus is coming by our house on Christmas Eve. I hope that mom brings a decent tree in this time, last years version  was so dense that I had trouble climbing on it.

So December, bring it on, we're ready!
