Shopping

The secretary is shopping some stuff for my new lake cottage from the web in the wee hours of tonight. I'm not too impressed, since I didn't see any new cat tree or comfy catbed on her shopping list.

I'm showing her the back of disrespect but it doesn't seem to be working. I must be doing it wrong since I can't remember ever succeeding with it. 

Well, I just have to keep on using their beds like before. I hope they realise it's no use to complain about my furs on their sheet if they don't organize my sleeping conditions any better! I've got a hint for them too, say goodbye to the mosquito net above their beds, I'm sure they aren't kitty claw proof...

Carlos the photobomber strikes again!

The secretary was selling some random stuff on the internet, and she was taking pictures of the things she was selling. I thought a cute kitty in the picture might speed up the deal a bit, but she didn't agree with me.

On the other hand, I might get sold in the process too so I probably should stop photobombing...

Summer is finally here!

Today was finally a warm and sunny day, hurray!!! I was out a couple of times, and was really close catching a tiny bird!! If only I didn't have the harness on...

Oh, about yesterday. The secretary didn't obey my command at all! She just giggled, took the picture of me by the stove and moved on with her other tasks.  It often amazed me how disrespectful humans can be!

Anyhow, I hope you had a great weekend! We are holidaying so we don't keep track on weekdays! Lovely!

Cleaning day!

The secretary was cleaning up the house all day, so I needed to be very alert and supervise her work like I always do. No more snoozing for me! 

I think she did a good job, so now I will take a well deserved nap on fresh and clean sheets. Bliss!

Snooze

I wouldn't have guessed how tired a cat can get after some days of outdoor life. I've been SO sleepy even today. Last nights entertaiment didn't really happen, as I was sleeping as much as my staff.

The secretary took a picture of me snoozing on the floor. I didn't even blink.

Well, a good nap never hurt anyone! So come on my furry friends, let's take another one!

Oopsie!

Hello again! Long time no see kind of a hello. Well, not that long but anyways. 

This time I have to admit that my secretary had a good reason to pass a day without blogging. You know, it kind of happened that I ran away at the lake cottage and stayed "under cover" almost one entire night... 

I had been behaving very well, staying close to them even though I was able to escape my harness a couple of times. But yesterday evening when I knew it was time to go inside that small tiny cottage to spend the night with my staff (I don't like it that much), I had my change and went for a little walk. My staff couldn't find me anywhere, and I'm not going to go into details on where I was. You know, what happens in the woods stays in the woods... I know I got them quite upset, especially the kids, but I couldn't help my wild nature (still not eating fresh dead live real fish, so I had to compensate!). The secretary was searching for me late into the night, although she did wish that I would come to my senses and return to my canned food and kibble by the morning. But she admits that she began to worry since I was NOWHERE to be seen or heard.  

Well, she woke up very early in the morning, and went to check on the food bowl she had left on the terrace for me. She noticed that I had been there (so I got hungry!!), and she went to check under the cottage which had turned out to be my most favorite spot. There I was!! She was overjoyed! I purred and let her pet me, but I wasn't going to give up that easily. She had to grab my harness and eventually my tail to get me back, and I noticed she wasn't giving up that easily either...

So we were reunited, and I guess it's a good thing. I can tell I was exhausted today after my nighttime adventures... I even slept on the bushes like a log, slept all through the drive back home, and as you can see I'm still sleeping back home!!

Well, I guess I'll be well rested by the time my staff goes to bed! I can keep them entertained all through the night!!

If you stay outside almost the whole day, you're bound to have a nap or to on the bushes too. It's a bit challenging since it's difficult to give up supervising all the bugs and birds.

I guess my secretary is taking her holiday very seriously, since she forgot to blog yesterday. Oh well, it's summer and holidays and we're taking it easy. I wish you all a great weekend!!

Water!

Have you tasted water from a lake? I have now. It was ok, at least there was loads of it!

It might have seemed that I would have been at the lake the whole week. Actually I've been back home since last Sunday. But we'll be going back soon, since it's the Midsummer's Eve tomorrow. The weather is rainy as it usually is at Midsummer. But we don't let it bother us since finally my secretary has a holiday too! Great, I can finally get her to concentrate on me!

Cat on a tree stump

I found this spot, a thin tree stump on the lakeside and decided to practice my balance a bit. My secretary thought I looked quite funny. 

It's the two years anniversary today for the day I arrived to this family. It also happens to be the birthday of one of the kids. Two years have passed fast, and I have to say I quite like it here. My staff takes me to places, and even though I might be suspicious at first, it usually ends up being pretty nice.

So to my staff, thank you for bearing with my moodswings and other feline specialities. I promise I will do my best to surprise you in so many ways you didn't think were possible even in the future. Anyways, I luh ya!!

Another fish I didn't eat

Here are some more pictures of small, tasty, fresh fish straight from the lake. And I didn't even touch them. They were exactly the same kind I eagerly killed and ate last summer. Such a perfect sized little fishes that make a good portion for one meal. But no. I guess these should be grilled too. So actually it's my staff's fault since they didn't prepare them to me correctly!

I bet you are waiting for some picture evidence about all the fish I was bragging about? Well, here comes the first part.

Let me introduce you to late Mr Pike. 

One of the kids fished it for me. 

The sad part is, I only took some bites of it. I didn't feel like eating any more. What is wrong with me?? I'm being served fresh live dead real fish and I don't feel like eating it?! I'm a shame to the whole feline race! I think I've spent too much time indoors, that must be the reason... I'll have to refresh my instincts again, that will be my mission for this summer. Wish me luck!

Oh the sweet cottage life...

It was so lovely at the lake cottage... I got  to be outside almost all the time, thanks to the new and handy leash system my secretary had bought me. I could supervise my staff while they were catching fish for me, or when they were fixing something for my new cottage building. I could chase the bugs and smell the mice (didn't see any but I bet they were there somewhere...).

I have so many cool pictures to show you, so stay tuned. 

Here I'm waiting for my staff to get the boat in the water for them to go fishing. One of the kids was the master of fishes this time. They have a kind of a competition during the summer, who catches the most fish, or the biggest fish.  The secretary doesn't participate in it though, but that's fine. She's the Master of my Canned Food and Kibble, so I let her have a break in that area.

Cool passenger?

To the lake cottage we went, and guess what? I got to travel without my travel box! But don't you worry, I had my safety belt and harness on.

At first I was very cool about it. I was even considering taking a nap. But then I paniced, and only the lap of my mom helped. 

The rest of the journey went very well. I think this was way better than hanging out in that small, hot and sweaty plastic box of mine. But we'll see how it goes the next time...

I'm so excited!!

All kinds of distractions will the humans come up with! Now my secretary has bought a book she's reading all the time.

I could come up with dozens of better ways to pass the time than reading a book... But does she ask my opinion? No she doesn't. 

By the way, there has been suggestions made by certain anonymous fish-loving-bird-hating kitties, that I would have hidden a mouse under the pillow of my secretary. I will not publicly admit doing such a thing. However, if a mouse had been hidden there, it hasn't been found yet.

Pre-holiday busy

That's what my secretary claims to be. I say it's just another sorry excuse to ignore my different needs. At least I was able to catch her for a while on the sofa.

I like to use my staff as a bathing support. You know, it's nice to have something to lean on while cleaning my furs. Humans do very well for that purpose. I might even get a scritch or two in the process.

Good morning!

Actually it's already evening here, but I bet it's morning somewhere!

Anyhow, this morning I noticed that the secretary wasn't using her pillow entirely.

There seemed to be a spot for me so I took it. She said it was quite nice to wake up to my purrs. Anything to make her happy, anything.

It's been a very busy week, and my secretary is pretty tired at this point. Luckily it's weekend, and we have not much planned. Let's just chill out!

Cozy days

Allthough the weather was a bit better today, I stayed in with my secretary and kept her company while she was watching her daily dose of Midsomer Murders.

I don't care about the series, but a nap on a sofa besides a warm human body is always nice.

Come on summer!

It's the first of June, so it's officially Summer. But where is the summery weather I might ask?

Don't let the sunlight fool you, it's been cold, rainy and very windy all day. Temperatures of + 15 celsius don't quite convince me yet... 

Summer, I give you one week to make a proper appearance around here. Or else...
