...and there I went. I heard the bathroom door open and hurried in there.

What do I do in there? I might show you someday... Let's just say the staff didn't appreciate it that much...

A new hang out spot!

Today I found a great new hang out spot! 

It's the walk-in closet (or rather a squeeze-in closet) of my staff! I don't get to go there very often since they tend to keep the door firmly shut. But today I sneaked in with the secretary and climbed all the way up to the highest clothes rack. It's the one where the big one stores his numerous shirts. Well, now he has some catfur and claw scratches in some of them. Surprise!!!

Summertime

So far I've been lucky with the situation with the holidaying kids. The weather has been so nice that they practically live outside. They run around the yard and the nearby parks with their friends like young horses that are set free to fields. 

 

The only bad thing is that I would like to join them, but I'm not always allowed to... The humans say that if I stay too long in the hot sunny weather, I will get dehydrated since I don't like to drink water that much. Sigh. So I just settle with watching the kids have all the fun and keep meowing very loudly to express my deeply hurt feelings.

Snooze....

So it's Monday again. This time I won't be getting my own private time at all, since the kids started their summer vacation.

 

I feel exhausted already... I'd better take a nap to prepare myself for  energetic holidaying kids running around... Sigh...

You did WHAT?

I have some really disturbing stuff to tell you about my staff... This is really a time when I'm utterly embarrassed to admit that I live in the same house with these...barbaric creatures! 

These pictures might seem very innocent to you at this point. But do you have any idea what the humans were using this bouquet of birch branches for? They were slapping their backs with it in the sauna! Yes, you heard me right! I mean, how do they even come up with this stuff??

They CLAIM it is an old tradition and still a very used habit here in Finland. And they say it enhances the blood circulation, and gives a really nice and fresh scent in the sauna when the branches are wet. This bunch of branches is called a "saunavihta", a kind of bath whisk. I think I have to google this to make sure my staff is telling the truth and isn't really a bunch of scary freaks... Wish me luck...

Come on...

...is this once again some kind of stupid joke? Staff, come on and move my cat tree to its normal location asap!

I can't in any circumstances supervise our garden from this point, where I'm not even close to the window! AND you haven't even opened the blinds for me yet. 

I don't care if you want to go out from this door, you can just as well use the other one! I can't possibly be blamed if a suspicious bird or cat or insect tries to approach the house on my shift if you keep messing up my office! 

Move it back right away!

The lovely evening sun

It's been a cloudy and rainy day, but now in the evening we got a lovely sunshine and wind still. I was let out also, and I went on with my usual route through the flower bed, and stayed there for a good while. 

I tried to locate the fly from yesterday, but I didn't see him... Well, better luck next time! Have a great weekend!
