Look what my staff did for me! They hang loads of colorful streamers on the lamps around the house! I just LOVE them! It's a fun game, I keep jumping to catch them and the staff keeps hanging them higher and higher!

 

I've heard them talking about some 1st of May celebrations, but I think these decorations are clearly a more advanced cat toy. I think they felt bad for me, hence yesterdays post.

 

Anyhow, tomorrow we do have a day off again, thanks to the 1st of May thingie.

Things have come to the point where the most exciting cat toy in the house is a ribbon stuck between some drawers....

When the un-acceptable happens

 

My secretary really has got some nerve! Can you believe, that she just suddenly left me with two of my entertainers and went on an overnight trip? Yes, she really did that! AND, she even posted the past two blog posts FROM the capital city where she went, and I WASN'T EVEN NEAR HER! OMC I'm so annoyed. I would like to point out that for the Friday and Saturday posts she didn't consult me at all on what to write here! Well, I have to say that she managed quite ok, but still. It's a question of principle.

 

I really shouldn't need to put up with this kind of surprises without a proper warning and a vacation application process as I have suggested earlier. I hope she got my point when I was having multiple cat fits all over the house yesterday night when she finally came home. I really won't let this pass just like that!

 

 

Can we go out?

I'm a pretty handy kitten, I can even fetch my leash from the closet by myself when I think we should go out.

My staff don't always get my hint though...

Well ok, there's only milk in this cup. And it's a plastic cup. And the milk is lactose free... But it was good!

Good morning Saturday!

I know it's Sunday today, but since we still have a day off tomorrow, we pretend it's still Saturday. Not bad at all, to have two Saturdays in one week!

This morning I gave the secretary a very gentle wake up purr, no wonder she's been on a good mood the whole day! 

If only cats could eat chocolate...

Look what the kids got today! Those bowls are filled with candy! Today we have the traditional Easter "Trullipäivä" in our region. I guess it's kind of the Halloween trick or treat thing. The kids dress up as witches or something, and they go around the neighbourhood to give kind of Easter greetings and get candy in return. Our kids were quite hard-working and received loads if candy. But none of it was suitable for cats!! So unfair! Next year I better follow them and make sure the people give something to the witche's cat too!

Hey brother

I'd like you to meet my brother! The secretary and the kids went to visit my kittenhood home, I wish I could have followed them there! You see, two of my brothers still live there. Here in this picture you can see one of them, one year older than me. My brothers are pretty handsome, real furry mancats. They both look very similar, the other one only has less white fur on his chest. I'm much smaller than they are. I think my staff should feed me more often! The secretary claims it's because I was neutered in such an early age. Well, either way, I think I need a snack right about now...

Just like Friday!

I know it's only Thursday, but it feels like Friday since we have FOUR whole days off ahead of us, thanks to Easter.

So the snacks are out and we're just chilling here. No complaints today.

My human cat toy

The secretary has another pair of pants that work very well as a cat toy. In these trousers the strings that interest me are situated a bit higher than in the other pants. 

The truth is that these are her pajama pants... How embarrassing it is to have one's picture taken in PJ's and posted all over the interwebs!!! He he heee! Now I think we're even, after the embarrassing toy-rat-between-the-cat-door incident...

Carlos and the palmtree

Today I'm longing for the summer, and I'm pretending that I'm somewhere else where the palmtrees sway in the breeze. Like Brazil. Well, I do have sunlight and a palmtree here, even though it's indoors. As soon as the real summer is here, this palmtree will move outside on the terrace. Right now it's still too cold. 

But the sun is promising, and there are some springtime birds who have already returned from their winter vacation from somewhere south.  So the summer is on it's way, I just know it!!

Hello...

You might think that I've moved to the small hall's closet based on the pictures taken lately. Well, I do go there very often nowadays, since I need to be alert if a change to get outside would occurr. But I do roam around the rest of the house too. And, this particular shelf doesn't include anything soft to sleep on. There's only shoes in here. Smelly and dirty. But I don't mind.

Welcome new week! Monday, I didn't like you at all, like I almost never do. Maybe Tuesday and I will get along a bit better...

Stuck

I tried to transport my toy rat into my litter box room, but it got stuck between the cat door.

 

 

I pulled and pulled it, but it was really stuck. It was only the secretary who was able to rescue it. But luckily she did,  and I was able to continue killing the stupid rat.

Surprise!!

 

Today when the secretary was reaching for the kid's caps and gloves from these baskets, she got a handful of catfur instead. SURPRISE, I had found a brand new napping spot! The kids appreciated that I had warmed up their caps and gloves when they went out to play. Win-win again!

Food

Sometimes I climb above the fridge and the freezer to check out if I could catch something when it's opened.

I have to say they are opened far more often than I am given food... Something is not right..

But hey, it's Friday so I won't be too bothered about it. Have a great weekend!!

Busy Thursday

Today nobody has had time to take me out, so I've had to settle with a sunpuddle beside the door outside. 

Well, sometimes that's quite enough.

Nurse Carlos

The secretary had a nasty headache today, and she had to take a nap after work. Obviously I never say no to an opportunity to take a nap, so I kept her company for a while. I think it helped.

Sometimes I wonder if I could stll climb a bit higher than before.

I would be interested, but so far I don't have a clue how to do it. This certainly requires some more planning...

A video for a change

We made a video for you a change. The kids have this interesting toy, which involves small marbles going round and round. You can guess it is of interest for a cat like me! Watch and see for yourselves.

What a lovely sunshine we have here today! I'm trying to catch every ray of sunlight I just can.

Could I have some privacy please!!

Here I am trying to clean myself in peace, but suddenly the paparazzi-secretary sneaks on to me and takes photos! How humiliating! Doesn't she really have anything else to write about today?? I guess not, so this is what we have to settle with today...

Spring cleaning

I guess the secretary also has some kind of spring fever, since she is doing all kinds of funny stuff. Today she suddenly emptied a couple of closets in the hall. She just pulled everything out on the floor.

Naturally I had to supervise her. Then she took out the stupid vacuum cleaner and started hoovering and wiping the closets. How weird is that!

I have no idea what happens next, but I'll let you know if it's anything of importance.

The outdoors is calling

Since I've been allowed to visit outside our house, I have been sensing the great outdoors calling me. As soon as I hear the door opening to the smaller hall (called the "windcloset" around here), I run to the actual main door as fast as I can. 

However, it's not often the staff actually let's me go out. But it 's good to show them I would be interested in doing so. You never know when the lucky day comes, so you better be prepared at all times!
