Playing with fire

I do understand why the humans have their fireplaces for, but recently they have done something I really don't get. The lady of the house lighted many small fires on the table! What could be the reason behind that, do you know? Are they going to grill some snacks on it? Do they need to warm up their hands by those fires when they are eating? I really don't know! I was checking the fires pretty close by, but still I don't understand the sense in that. Well, there are many things the humans do that I find quite insane to tell you the truth... But if any of you have more educated guesses than I do, please share!

By the way, I was strictly supervised by the lady of the house, she wouldn't let me light myself up with those small fires!

    1. I think these could be very useful for that kind of grilling! I need to try those marshmallows sometime... I think the staff really just like to look at the fires, candles as they call them. It might even be the romance thing you mentioned, I wouldn't know anything about that. But it sounds like I would need to take on your offer and come by the next time I'm locked out from the bedroom!

  2. Good to know you aren't going to burst into flames Carlos! My cat walked over the stove burner once and her fur went poof! She was fine, and just had a few singed furs.

    1. Ouch! I've also been told that going too close to the fire is a good way to get curly whiskers!

    1. You might be right. Yes, I will be careful, but the fire is surely interesting and tempting.

  4. The mom does that at our house too, Carlos, 'cept those small fires usually smell.
