Wordless Wednesday: Me and my mom

Side by side

Lately my staff has had the decency to pay some more attention to me. Like today when we took a break on the sofa with my mom. Nice. 

New toys in!

My mom brought some new toys for me, and put them nicely on display on the table. 

They just seem a bit trickier to push down from the table, since I noticed they are quite heavy. Mom calls them marble candle holders, I don't know what it means but I'll take on the challenge!

Good morning!

I'm starting my morning with my usual routine, by meowing at the birds through the window as soon as my mom has opened the blinds for me. 

Yesterday was pretty boring for me, my mom was running errands, cleaning up and even painting something in the kitchen. I though first to lend a paw for her but the paint smelled so bad that I just had to back off.

Still bored...

The humans are still neglecting me, they are too concentrated on their mobiles or whatever other stuff they might come up with. My mom is still experimenting with some freaky foods with me, and we still don't have a winner. Turned out I don't like real live dead fish if it's mushed into unrecogniseable generig format and deepfreezed. It's hard being a picky kitty.

Well, at least it's Friday! Happy weekend friends!

Raw meat!

My mom is trying to introduce me to new flavours, since I've been annoyingly picky with my taste of food. She bought some raw meat that she thinks should be very appealing to me.

There are some turkey's hearts on my bowl.

Well, I don't know... I've had better dishes to be honest. But to please my mom I eventually emptied my bowl.

I'm bored. Nobody seems to have enough time for me these days. Maybe I should come up with some kind of a plan  to get some more attention. Any ideas?

Monday portraits

One of the kids took some photos of me today, and they turned out pretty nice. The light was good and made my furs almost glow. I think he is a better photographer than my mom. Maybe I should hire him to do the photoshoots for  my blog.... Just like any decent fashion and lifestyle blogger have a pro photographers at their disposal, I should have one too!

New window

We have this window inside the house, that doesn't lead outside. So there isn't much to see. Actually you can't even see through it to be exact. That doesn't stop me from hanging out on the windowsill. As you know, we cats have no trouble imagineing things, so this is my special imaginary window with great imaginary views. Cool.

Cozy Caturday

A fluffy rug and a warm fireplace is just what a cat needs for a good Caturday evening. Well, some new tasty kibble of course too, but not much else.

I'm just hiding out here in the laundry basket. The weather is rainy and gloomy but here it's quite cozy.

Tomorrow it's Friday, and that's pretty cool.

I found a great box for myself at the lake cottage, or what do you think?

Previously it has been filled with stuff, but luckily the humans emptied it for me. It's also good for scratching, the bottom of it I mean.

A happy camper

Do you see me?

I'm there, the tiny black figure at the very end of the pier.

This Saturday, I got to roam free again at the lake cottage, the whole day. In the morning when I woke up at the cottage, I meowed at 6 am that I would like to go out. And I was let out. Can you imagine the trust I have gained? My staff kept doing their thing and I kept doing mine (catching mice and sampling some fresh live living real fish). Once in a while I checked upon them that they wouldn't be too worried. 

It was a very good day. In the evening they took me inside the cottage, and to tell you the truth, it was pretty nice to hang out inside by the fireplace. 

Anyhow, this morning I meowed again at 6 am to go out, but now it didn't work like yesterday. Instead, I was kept inside and then put into my PTU for the way home. I guess the trust between me and my staff is based on a long experience, and that experience has shown that my co-operation on a departure day is somewhat limited.

So now I'm home again, and all is well.

What the...

What on earth is this new gear with blinking lights and a jingle bell you are equipping me with??

I guess the fall has really kicked in with all the busy schedules for humans and everything. I barely see my mom cause she's swooshing by from one errand to another. 

As a cat I really feel sorry for her because she can't just stop and take a nap like I can. So I would suggest we cats would dedicate one nap tomorrow as a tribute to all of our busy humans  out there. Here's to all of them, snooze!

By the way, I couldn't quite resist having a little Carlos Show during last night... I don't do it very often, but there is really nothing that gets a human (especially a mom person) up so fast than a cat who wakes up a sleeping kid in the middle of the night. Very effective. 

P.s. No humans, kids nor adults were injured during last night's Carlos Show.

The comeback of stupid Mondays

This Monday was not the best, though not the worst either. My mom is pretty beat after work, sports and all silly human errands. She would like to sleep as peacefully as I am in this good old picture above. So I think I'll let her do that and (maybe) not organize any loud special program during the night.

So unfair

You know what is really unfair? I'll tell you.

When you see a juicy fly on the wall, run and meow after it only to notice that...

...the stupid fly is just too high above for you to reach no matter how hard you try. Sometimes life just seems unfair for a kitty. 

Caturday!

That's me going on, while my staff tries to take a picture of me. That happens a lot. But this is a fresh and authentic picture of me from today.

Do you want to know a random fact about me? Well I'll tell you anyway. I weigh 4,5 kg. My staff weighed me today and that's the result. Four and a half kilograms of muscle, bones and a pile of black fur. That's me.

Thursday!

It's almost weekend! That's the good thing, but the bad thing is that I'm not going to the lake after all. The weather Gods are against us, and it's going to rain a bit too much for us to go there and sit inside all the time. Or have you heard of a cat who would enjoy being outside when it rains? Well, me neither...
