Beyond my comprehension

I don't quite understand...

Last time this window was a way to outdoors and to the roof, but now I just can't reach it anymore.

It's like there would be something between me and the outside.

This is just too confusing...

Food!

Finally I got my paws into the grill!! The smell around it was just gorgeous allthough it wasn't on.

I could now make any dish I like! I just need to figure out how to get it on. And then I need to find some meat or fish somewhere... Oh well, I guess I still need my staff for this too... But I surely know now where the place to be is!

Wild thing

You know, sometimes we cats just need to be able to blow off some steam. When we do that, things can get a bit rough and messy here and there. But after we're done, everything is fine again and we just take a nap.

Thunder and lightning

We had some thunder and rain today, and I didn't like it at all.

Luckily I found a nice hiding place between the sheets and towels. I had a nice nap there too.

I guess there will be some more thunders during this week, I hope the secretary keeps these sheets hanging for a while then!

Catching flowers

If no insects are to be found, I can always catch some small flowers flying around.

It's been a really lazy day. I've been still exhausted from all that sealife and outdoors I've been enjoying lately. So I have been mainly napping today.

One thing that bugged me this weekend was that my staff didn't take the fishing gear with us to the island! I can't believe those amateurs sometimes! I could only imagine all the real live LIVING fishes swimming in the sea... Well, maybe next time...

I hope you had a great weekend!

Paradise, part 2

Here's a quick recap of my visit to paradise. OMC it was nice. The weather was great! Now we are back at home, and oh boy am I tired! I think I need some serious naps now to recover from all of that outdoor stuff!

Here I am in my travel box in the boat! I think it's fun, I'm quite an experienced traveller by now, so I don't make a big deal out of it.

The great outdoors! I was set free as soon as we jumped out of the boat, and here I'm just chilling in the grass. Anyhow, I felt I had to supervise my staff carefully so that they wouldn't do anything stupid. So I stayed quite close to them and kept them company.

Water between the stones. I don't like the water that much, allthough the kids introduced me to it a couple of times... I like to keep some distance to it to keep my paws dry.

All in all, this was a nice stay at the cottage. Even during the night I had the freedom to come and go as I liked. Part of the night I stayed outdoors, but at some point when the cottage door was opened I sneaked in and slept there. Cool stuff. I wish I could do it at home too... BUT, at least it's cooler here at our home. The cottage doesn't have any other air conditioning but the breeze from the sea.

Have a great Caturday!

How many cats...

... there are in this picture?

Just me, of course. My back paws are just living their own life on the edge of the fireplace. This is a nice and cool place now during the summer!

The great escape

Or a very good try at it...

Damned instincts, they guide me to try to escape this house whenever I see a chance to it. I know that I really shouldn't escape as some of you have pointed out, I live pretty nicely and my staff is quite ok. But STILL, I can't help myself... The great outdoors call me every now and then and it's very hard to ignore.

The other evening I came very close to a successful escape again. Since it has been very hot in here, and the rooms upstairs are almost like a badly warmed up sauna, the secretary opened up the windows for just a little while. She was upstairs too in another room, when suddenly she heard a weird sound, like my claws scratching a tin windowsill...

She ran to the other room, and saw me standing on the windowsill on my way out. Only my bum and my stupid tail were still inside the house. In these pictures you can see the crime scene.

The secretary grabbed my tail very fast, and didn't let go. I grabbed the tin windowsill very firmly and didn't let go. The window doesn't open that wide, so it was quite difficult for my secretary to get her hands on me properly. She kept holding on my tail and little by little she was able to get me inside.

I hadn't really thought how I would have proceeded after getting out of the window though... The roof you see is the roof of the carport, so it's not THAT high but probably too high for me to jump down anyway... It might have been an interesting case if I would have gotten on the roof...

Well, I guess I was lucky that my secretary got me in. But STILL! I just can't help myself!!! Just keep the windows shut so that I won't be tempted! Damned instincts!

The advanced stroll outdoors

Friends, I am happy to tell you that my long term training is giving results again! Apparently I have gained enough trust from my staff (but just between us cats, I think my staff is even more naive than I thought, they would actually trust a cat!!), so that they let me go out in the garden WITHOUT MY LEASH! Can you believe this! I was able to roam freely without that annoying piece of string around my neck and stomach. FREEDOM! Of course, I was clever enough to behave very properly in order not to lose this priviledge right away, but I have plans for escape... Anyhow, the secretary walked right beside me, and we thought to take you with us along my usual route around the house.

Here we go, in front of the main door. You should always have time to smell the flowers or something.

In the front yard, there were some interesting small insects flying around. I catched a few. I'm sure no-one will miss them.

This is where being without a leash really pays off, I was able to check some trickier places! See me there between the stair and the wall? Interesting smells I tell you.

For a while I was hiding behind this bush. The smell of its leaves was very intriguing. I had to inspect that for a while.

On the other side of the house, nothing of interest here. Just checking out the view to the terrace.

But then, nice rolling around on the tiling.

Rolling rolling....

...rolling rolling...

....streeeeetccchhhh... and I'm done. Moving on.

At the back side of the house, what on earth is this thingie? It's dripping water...? All the strange gadgets the people have in their houses...

Almost done. Here's a bit sad sight, a bobsled in the summer! Apparently my staff is lacking storage space...

In the front yard again. I'm looking at the neighbours garden in this picture. Maybe I could sneak out there someday... I've heard that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence!

I hope you enjoyed the tour!

The unexpected adventure

OMC, the secretary had almost forgotten the password for my blog, I guess it's a sign of a succesful holiday don't you think! Luckily she got it right after a couple of tries, so here we go.

Before this blogging break I was kind of let to believe that we would travel to the cottages and hang outside a lot with the staff. Well, they didn't quite mean that when talking about a holiday they had in mind. What they did was to travel for a super family holiday to Greece, but as you might guess now, no cats was allowed there... Hmph... I thought I could stay with the nice lady I was staying with a couple of shorter periods of time before, but this time it was a question of one whole week and the staff had to arrange something else for me.

So they went and booked an all inclusive holiday apartment for me too! I got to stay at a local cat hotel slash shelter! They had this great single bedroom / own catio apartment available, and the secretary had booked it for me! Cool stuff!

Here you can see me inspecting my holiday apartment. As you can see, the door to the catio was always open. I could come and go as much as I liked!

There was even a small cabin in the outside catio, just for my private use!

And get this, I had a neighbour! I haven't seen another cat this close since I left my birth home more than a year ago! This was surely a very exciting place to be!

I also had this wild child kitty as an indoor neighbour. OMC (s)he was a lively creature! See how high (s)he climbed!! We were two of a kind I must say! Allthough, I have to say this tiny kitten and his/her siblings made a lot of noice too...

This was surely an interesting holiday for me! The staff in this hotel was very nice, mainly young women and girls who were very dedicated to all us animals staying there. As I mentioned, it was also a shelter so there were some cats and dogs who were looking for a real home. I do hope they will find ones!

But now I'm back home again, and I have to say that it feels good to be here too! I do enjoy my privacy, and I was quite exhausted after a week socializing with other cats and going in and out in my apartment! And yes, I kind of missed my secretary too...

So that's all about my unexpected adventure so far! But tell me, what did I miss, what have you guys been up to during this time?

I'm back!

Hello friends! Thank you for your lovely comments! I missed you too, but now we don't have to miss each other anymore since I'm back!

We had a nice break, and I'm going to tell you all about my adventures, which weren't quite like I thought they were going to be! But I had a blast, and now I'm back home to continue to have a blast like we cats usually do.

See you soon!

Leave of absence, granted

You know, for once my secretary had the brains to do as I have adviced her to do in case she wants to have a break from working for my blog. She made all the required paperwork and negotiated with me in good time beforehand. So I granted her a leave of absence for some days. It's summer anyhow, and she barely stays indoors. Beaches and cottages are calling and she tries to wean herself from her mobile and the computer (good luck with that...). Anyhow, maybe we'll be having some adventures documented when she'll be good and ready to blog again.

So, so long for now, we'll be closing the computer for a while and enjoy some summertime!

See you sooner than later!

Hotter than...?

Summer we love you! Sun puddles deluxe and as warm as you can wish for! Well, we deep frozen Finns are pretty easy to please, give us sun and +26 degrees celsius and we are having the time of our lives.

I was also let out today, but as it turned out, it was a bit too hot to my taste. I ran for cover and stayed in the shadows all the time. Right now the sun puddles are great indoors, but outdoors it's a bit too much for my black fur.

I hope you had a great start for this week! Mondays aren't that bad when they are holidays!

Sunday, 6 July 2014

Hey staff....

Do I have to get my dinner by myself or are you going to do it for me like you're supposed to...?

Saturday, 5 July 2014

Why use the stairs...

...when you can use other more exciting means!

Have a great Caturday!!

The return of the summer

The weather people have promised, that the summer will make a come back this weekend and the beginning of next week. How nice. How convenient also that the secretary has to work over the weekend, which is not the case usually. We'll she gets to be outside close to a beach while working, so it's not too bad I guess. But then, a PROPER holiday for her! Which means 24/7 service for me!

Bring it on summer, bring it on!

Snooze...

Some days are just lazier than others. Today has been spent mainly napping, some of them in funny positions. Well, if you ask a human. If you would ask a cat, this sleeping positions is completely normal!

Bliss...

Look what the secretary did for me!

She made the bed with the softest duvet JUST for me to have a nap on!

Oh, how I love the softness of this bed... Sometimes she really gets exactly what I want and need, and today was that kind of a day!

Just because I'm a cat, I can.

As a cat, I might have some habits that the humans don't really understand. I don't get bothered with that, but some of my actions seem to disturb them more than others.

Like last night. I had been sleeping very comfortably beside my secretarys feet for a couple of hours as usual. But then, at approximately 1:15 am, I decide it's time to wash myself. Right then and there. And I don't mean any light cleaning, but a proper all-the-way-between-every-single-toe cleaning. Yes. I don't make much noise when washing myself, but apparently JUST enough to wake up the secretary and the big one, and keep them awake for the whole 15 minutes my bathing took. After I had washed myself, I changed my position slightly and fell asleep again. However, the staff wasn't able to do the same.  I mean, I don't need to explain to anyone if I get a feeling I need to wash myself in the middle of the night, I just do it. If the staff get so easily difficulties to fall back to sleep, they should really find themselves a more peaceful place to sleep then, and leave the bed to me.

Also, how strange is the fact that in the middle of the night, while I'm washing myself, the secretary reaches for her  mobile phone and takes a picture of me. I would say that is more strange than anything I have done. Well, I guess I have to give some credit to myself for training her that well, she's always ready to document my life and actions for my blog!
