Christmas!!!

Hello friends!

Are you excited about Christmas already? I know I am! I thought to get mom to write some greetings here before Christmas really kicks in. So here I am, already feeling it...

Some rolling on the floor, beside the Christmas tree.. (Mom surprised us all, and got us a fake tree! Everyone else are loving it, but I kind of miss the real thing. This is much harder to climb on, I know because I tried already.)

I'm still working on this cat bed. It's getting nicer all the time.

Remember the fancy catbed mom bought me? The one I didn't want to sleep in? Well, after a month of considering and "adjusting" that thingie, I finally accepted it as my main napping spot. Mom is very happy. I just thought to show you some pictures as proof. Also, you might notice the way I "adjusted" the bed to my taste...

Still alive and kicking!

I’m here, and all is fine with us! Except that apparently blogger doesn’t have an iPhone app available anymore,  which made this blogging thing much harder for mom. You know, she likes to make the posts with her phone, how very professional...

Anyhow, here are some pics of me, doing random stuff.

Mom was cleaning up the house the other day, I was kind enough to offer my assistance.

Apparently she saw through my sneaky plan to escape outside while "helping" her, and didn't let me take part on the cleaning...

Mom has gone a bit crazy on Etsy.com... You know she's knitting all kinds of stuff, so she has been ordering stuff related to her crafts. Anyhow, she fell for a hand knitted cat bed, which she ordered for me all the way from Lithuania. She knew there would be a risk that I wouldn't give a crap about the bed,  but she thought it was so nice anyhow. Well as you can see, I haven't accepted that cat bed as one of my official napping spots. I think she can find some other purpose for that thing. Instead, this woolen blanket my mom has done herself, is one of my favorites. The only problem is that my claws get stuck on it sometimes, and mom doesn't really appreciate it...

See me? There's always time for lounging on the stairs too!

Lazy Caturday

Hello friends! We are enjoying a nice and slow Caturday morning. Mom is considering painting some walls, I'm just chilling like I usually do.

About cat toys

Good to hear that I'm not getting old, and good to know that there are likeminded kitties out there. Anyhow, sometimes I find my own toys, in unexpected ways. When my mom paid good money for the toy she brought me a couple of days ago, I found a very exciting toy, that didn't cost a penny.

Meet a grey hair elastic (or what do you call these...), that was left inside a library book mom brought home, probably left there by a previous lender. It dropped on the floor, I found it and now I own it. Had a blast with it this afternoon. We cats can be so resourceful!

New toy!

Mom bought me a new feathery toy just like that. Maybe she was trying to compensate for all the time she nowadays spends knitting instead of playing with me. Seriously, I think her knitting is getting out of hands. Anyways, I played with the new toy for like five minutes, and then I got bored with it. Am I getting old?

So I got hungry...

You kitty friends must know the feeling, at the whee hours of the night when hunger suddenly strikes...

...and a fresh bag of kibble has been left on the table. I just had to open it in my own way, and take a few.

So what my kibble bowl was almost full of the same stuff, this was still better!

Monday!

Summer is kind of over, at least for mom and the big one, who have returned to work. The kids still keep me company for a week.

We have enjoyed summer, cottage life and lazyness. The weather hasn't been that hot, but we think we've had warm and sunny enough for our needs.

So the everyday routines will be implemented step by step from now on. Well, for my staff of course, I keep on chilling on this sofa just like before.

Hello!

Our summer has been proceeding nice and slow, really taking it day by day. Doing stuff that seems doable at the time. Sometimes it's a lot, sometimes it's barely nothing. At the summer cottage or at home. Weather has been very flexible, and we try to adjust to that. Mom has been mostly staying away from technical devices, so there aren't that many pictures of me neither.

But here I am, enjoying my favourite bush in our garden. I hope you are enjoying your summer doing whatever you like doing the most!

Greetings from the lake!

Guys, it's been a while again! But I'm alive and kicking, currently living the high life at the lake.

Yesterday was all about roaming outside catching mice and tasting real-live-dead-fresh-fishes.

Today I have been also chilling inside the cottage voluntarely, fresh air makes a kitty tired.

We celebrate the midsummer here, the sun doesn't really go down at all.

It's finally the time for summer vacation. At least for the kids. Mom and the big one still have some weeks left to work.

Well, none of their schedules really concern me, it's business as usual for us kitties. I'm just hoping the kids won't bother my daily napping schedule too much...

Back in business

Oopsie, a slight pause in blogging just happened. First mom claimed to be too busy, and then they went on a holiday! I guess our beloved country has been too chilly this spring (and it still is...), so the humans went to get their dose of warmth and sun from Spain. You won't guess what I did while they were away...

No kitty hostel this time, but a bed and breakfast at a young couple (a colleague of mom) who had a cat too! I had a blast!  Before the holiday, we went for a test visit to see if me and their (neutered) mancat would get along, and we did just fine. He was very friendly and curious of me, and after a couple of days I warmed up and started to show some interest for some playtime together. I guess kitty friends are  cool even in IRL! Now I'm back home, and I haven't even felt the need to protest on any way. Well, at least so far...

Busy times

Mom has been too busy for me lately, she has all kinds of excuses. Anyhow, this weekend is also filled with all kinds of celebration, kids birthday and mothers day. So here's an old picture of me in a funny napping position.

Looks can be deceiving though, sunlight is pretty but the weather is still so cold. It's been snowing still in some parts of our land. Summer seems so far away...

The Great Morning Snooze

Some mornings are just better than the others. Today, after half of the family left early for a sports tournament, me and mom got to continue our sleep in the bed.

 

You know when the bed is somehow extra fluffy and warm, the morning sunlight is just right, and only happy thoughts and dreams are welcome to your head.

And when it feels like the sheets could almost swallow you. Then everything is pretty good.

Mom claimed that I was even snoring that quiet little kitty snore, but I don't admit that. But anyhow, it was one of my top 5 morning naps.

Crazy days...

Yesterday and today have been pretty crazy, one of the kids had his birthday party. That means a bunch of kids running around the house and garden like crazy. Obviously these zen-like pictures aren't taken during the party. But now things are back to normal again. Happy Caturday to all of you!

Morning light

There was this gorgeous sunlight this morning, and I think it's every kitty's duty to go and enjoy it. So I did.

May Day, May Day

The first of May, I got to celebrate it by going outside. It had been snowing (I kid you not) a couple of days, but now we have sunlight. And hard wind which kind of neutralizes the warmth of the sun, but we take what we get.

I found an interesting red feather from the garden to play with. I thought it must have belonged to a very exotic bird, but apparently it was just a left over decorations from Easter. Anyways, it was fun to chase it.

My staff had a day off today, but tomorrow it's back to business. See you!
