Cat vs a magazine

The silly human of mine, had a stupid idea of reading a magazine on the sofa after work. Obviously she didn't remember that her time after work is reserved for ME! So I had to remind her. I had to use most of my tricks, but finally she got the point. Anyways, here we go. Young kitten readers, consider this as a lesson:

1. Place yourself on the humans hand so that she can't turn the pages of the magazine.

2. Walk over her lap and the magazine several times, back and forth.

3. Take your time to find a very comfortable position to lay on her lap and on top of the magazine.

4. Make sure to block her view to the magazine as much as you can. At this point it really helps if you are a bit on the heavy side.

5. SCORE! Out with the magazine, in with the cat!! Works everytime!

6. A happy cat means a happy human. Win-win. Except for the magazine, but magazines don't have feelings. Cats do.

I hope you had a lovely Thursday!

Supper with the kids

I often accompany the kids for supper, obviously hoping they would slip some snacks for me under the table. Unfortunately they ate only stuff I don't fancy at all, so I have to settle for my kibble. Better luck next time!

A train to nowhere

The kids have loads of cool toys they have kind of outgrown, but once in a while they get a feeling to suddenly play with them. Like this wooden train track, a classic toy around here.

I had to inspect it naturally, but it wasn't my thing at all. The secretary kind of thought I would get all excited about some moving trains and she would get some great pictures, but no. I wasn't up for it. The kids can keep this toy, I'm more interested in some other stuff they have.

Monday...

...let's face it, we're never going to be friends. And by the way, it's not me, it's you Monday. I mean I'm more than fine with Saturday and Sunday, but as soon as you come along, things just don't work out.  I have tried my best - really - but it's just not going to happen.

But I'll be ok, soon you will leave me alone again for a while...

Friends, I hope you've had a smooth beginning for this week!

Going somewhere...?

Are you going somewhere human? Just when did you think it would have been appropriate to inform me about your absence? How have you organized my feeding during the time you'll be gone? Is there enough food in store? When will you be back?

Oh you are just going to the gym for an hour? Oh, ok. Maybe I'll survive that. Just fill up my kibble bowl in case I need a snack. And do hurry back.

Napping with my human

This afternoon was quite unusually quiet, when both of the kids and the big one were somewhere out of the house. So me and my secretary had the house all for ourselves! That doesn't happen that often really. So what better way to spend that time than take a nice nap on the sofa  together! At least I couldn't think of anything better than that.

Even the secretary snoozed for a while after taking these pictures. Bliss.

You might notice that I slept with my one eye open. I just had to keep an eye on my secretary that she wouldn't sneak out anywhere...

Synchronized swimming on the floor

Sometimes when I feel all cuddly and sweet, I start flirting with my secretarys feet. She thinks I look like I would be performing synchronized swimming right there on the floor. Check out my moves!

There! Now let's start the weekend! Bring on the snacks, popcorn and other un-healthy yummy stuff!!! Relaxing starts NOW!
