Fascinated by water

As I mentioned in the award post, I'm very interested in water faucets that are opened. I immediately run to the faucet to look or sometimes even to catch the water.

 
There is just one thing I don't get. Where the heck does the water disappear?? When the water is running I can see it, but when the faucet is closed, the water disappears!! I'm so confused. Does anyone of you know what happens to it?

My investigations lead me to suspect you live about 3 hours drive south of me, in what seems to be a very neat and tidy kingdom.     We thinks it goes into the drinking bowl in the beans litter box room*. Cuz there is always water in there when we looks, MOL

    I’m innerested in what other’s have said as I don’t have the answer. I think there’s a monster in there drinking all the water. I have a water game I play that TW has yet to videotape for me.
